Live in Support for Adults With Disabilities

VersaCare provides a range of disability home care services tailored to your exact needs, enabling anyone with a disability to have the care and support they need to live a full and independent life while continuing to live in their own home.

Remain in your own home with personal disability care

At VersaCare we have over 16 years experience in providing live-in care for people with a range of disabilities, including both physical disabilities, such as Parkinsons or Multiple Sclerosis, hearing loss or blindness, including catheter and stoma care if needed. We also support those with learning difficulties or Special Educational Need (SEN) needs such as Down’s Syndrome, autism, and epilepsy.

We have carers across the country who are ready to support you or your family within your own home, leading to more positive outcomes than alternatives such as residential care. Our cost-effective service for people with disabilities helps you or your loved one retain an independent and fulfilling life with the support of a full-time, qualified carer.
For those who require a bit of extra support, being able to remain in your own home helps to retain as much independence as possible and provides comforts that can’t be found elsewhere. This leads to improved physical and mental well-being.

What are the costs of disability home care?

At VersaCare our live-in care service for people with disabilities, as with all our services, is designed to be affordable. We have deliberately made our charges transparent, with free assessments and no hidden fees or extras or obligations

There are several ways to fund your live-in care, your local authority social service team may pay the full or partial cost for your carer and if you’re eligible you will be allocated a personal budget. If the need for a live-in carer relates to your health then the NHS will help fund your care and support through the Continuing Health Care fund. Another option is to pay for your own care or top up any existing funding you receive from your local authority or benefits.
We have lots of experience in helping people find ways to fund their care and apply for the support they’re entitled to. Give us a call or send us a message and we’ll see how we can help you.

Why choose VersaCare for your care?

There are many live-in care providers out there, but we pride ourselves on both the quality of care we provide and ensuring it’s accessible to everyone.
We are a private company engaged in Live-in care as a specialty for over 16 years, and understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Our commitment to delivering personalised, compassionate care has consistently earned us positive feedback from those we support and their families. We have been consistently rated as good by the CQC, reflecting our dedication to maintaining high standards of care.
As part of keeping your care affordable, we can advise on your rights and help you access all the funding, grants and benefits available to pay for live-in care. We believe that quality care should be within reach for everyone who needs it.
With over 16 years of experience in providing care services to many Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and private clients, we’ve built strong, lasting relationships with many of our clients, some of whom we have been supporting for years. Our exceptionally low staff turnover means that you will receive care from professionals who are not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about their work.

Benefits of personal, at-home disability care

Live-in care offers numerous benefits for disabled individuals, providing a highly personalised and consistent level of support that is difficult to match with other care options like care homes or supported living. One of the primary advantages is the tailored, one-on-one care that live-in care provides, making sure your unique needs and preferences are continuously met. This consistency is particularly important for those with complex or evolving needs, as it allows for seamless adjustments in care without the disruption that might occur in other settings.

For individuals with physical disabilities, live-in care ensures that you receive continuous support with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks. Your caregiver can assist with moving around the home, managing physical therapy routines, and ensuring that the environment is safe and accessible. This constant, attentive care helps to prevent accidents and manage any physical health challenges that may arise.
For those with learning disabilities, live-in care provides crucial support in maintaining routines, managing behaviours, and ensuring effective communication. A consistent caregiver helps create a structured environment that promotes stability and reduces anxiety. They can also work closely with your loved one to develop skills and independence at a pace that suits them, providing the reassurance and encouragement needed to thrive.

The Care worker can also provide the assistance needed to allow the person to enjoy community activities

How to arrange live-in care

Arranging care can be challenging, especially if it’s needed urgently. Once you fill out the contact form or give us a call we’ll set up an appointment to assess the care needs required. We can typically assess people within 48 hours and we then follow up with the assessment results as well as the costs for your live-in care. There is absolutely no obligation to accept our assessment and rates, and you can rest assured there are no extra charges.

If you’re happy with the assessment and costs we will then work quickly to find a carer that matches you or your loved one’s personality and interests. If urgent care is required we can provide a temporary carer within days and then find a better matched carer suited to you.

Live in care testimonials

Our family has nothing but praise for Versacare. We have had live-in carers for nearly a year, and all have been conscientious. The office staff are really helpful and selected carers to meet the complex needs of my parents, and patiently sent us a number of carers until we found the one that was the most suited to my parents. My Dad had Parkinson's and his needs were fully met until he passed away last year. The care he received, especially in his last days, was wonderful. There was no interruption of care when he died, and now my Mum has the blessing of being in her own home, despite Alzheimer's, thanks to Versacare!

We would like to inform you of the excellent working practice Oti delivered yesterday. Oti was able to recognise a young person was struggling with his mental health. She stayed in communication with the Home Manager whilst closely monitoring the situation.

Oti's quick thinking and due diligence saved the young person from seriously harming himself. For this, we are very grateful as the outcome could have been very different.

Oti is a very competent worker. She excels in all areas but most of all the genuine interest and compassion she shows the young people. Please pass on our sincere appreciation to Oti.
