Before applying for live in carer jobs, it’s important to know that communication is the key to providing quality services to our clients – it is imperative that 24 hour live in care workers have an excellent command of the English language.
As will all Care Providers – We require you to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check, the cost will be deducted from your pay, when you take your first assignment with Versacare as a Live-in carer.
What you will need.
To start your live in carer job application, you will need to provide the contact details of two employment referees, at least one of whom should be your last or current employer. We will write to them.
To help us process your registration, if selected for interview, we need to validate certain information. The items below are required to meet legal obligations, as well as to show us you are capable of, and available to work with, our organisation. It also helps us to select positions most suited to your skills and experience.
Experience as a Live-in carer will be an advantage, but all experience in the care sector is important. You will need to bring THREE documents for the DBS application. We also ask that you bring the original documents to your interview.
One document must be from Group 1 and any two other documents from Groups 1 and 2.
Group 1
- A valid passport (any nationality)
- A UK birth certificate
- UK issued drivers licence
- Photo Identity card
- Marriage Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- UK P45/P60
- Bank/Building Society statement
- Utility Bill (e.g. gas or electric)
- Credit Card statement
- Store Credit Card
- A document from the UK Government, such as:
- (e.g. Benefits, Employment or HMRC)
- Financial Statement (e.g. pension, endowment)
- Vehicle Registration Document
- Mail Order Catalogue Statement
- TV Licence
- Addressed Pay Slip
- N.I. Card
- Work Permit
- Certificate of British Nationality
Please also bring:
An up-to-date C.V. (Curriculum Vitae, or Resume)
Two identical passport-sized photographs
Car Insurance coverage for you, for business use (if you have one)
